Change that heater control valve now!!

It's smack dab in the middle of the firewall, just behind the engine. It's
only attached to the heater hoses themselves and to the vacuum line coming
from the AC programmer. It would be a good time to replace the short length
of braided vacuum line connecting the white plastic vacuum line to the
valve. They are usually quite brittle on 87s unless they've already been
replaced.
