A/C Problems

I have two different A/C problems. The first involves an 84 4KS. When the A/C 
is turned on the compressor runs as expected and there are no bubbles visible 
in the site glass. The fans do not come on as expected and there is no 
cooling. I have jumped the connection and had the fans running but still 
don't get any cooling. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

The second problem is on my 83 CGT. When the air is switched on I get no 
response from the compressor. I have had the system checked and have been 
informed that it is fully charged. I have inspected the vacuum control 
section and all appears to be fine. My Bently says that all of the A/C 
switches are mounted to the heater controls however dissassembly of the dash 
proves differently. Any thoughts on the problem.
