Exactly, 0.5" max - not the 2" noted - and they are not HIGH PRESSURE (as 
opposed to LOW PRESSURE) gas - which act as a spring.
Bilstiens and KYB can exert a much higher lifting pressure, as they are 
hgih pressure gas.
So we can discount the struts themselves as the culprit.
