Special tools for fuel pump 87 cstwa

I used the handle end of some adjustable pliers.  They had a rubber coating
on it so I figure that it would not let off any sparks.  Took my handy Red
Rubber Mallet and pounded the retaining ring off.  BTW before anything .....
unplug the battery...  The rest of the tools are sockets and screwdrivers.
A nice thick pair of rubber gloves help when you are digging around on the
inside of the tank.  Remember the situation of the hose and the gauge
mechanism.  I had to go back in and re arrange it after we realized the
gauge never went below half tank.  Easy as Pie job... Just be careful of the
gas.  You know it has a tendency to be volatile near sparks and open
flames...
