Here in the UK we've a slightly different view. We've now got one of the
highest levels of fuel taxation in the world but although the roads are
better than some that I've seen elsewhere they aren't that great. The mass
transit system is now privately owned and less extensive than it used to be.
As for the free health care - every working person contributes as slice of
their salary to it and yes, you've a choice. If you're ill you can wait for
a health service hospital bed to become free while you're still alive or you
can pay for treatment. If you can't afford it you've still got a choice -
Hobson's.
Get involved in a road accident and the treatment costs are charged to
whoever was at fault.

We're all becoming very sick (no pun intended) of this tax.
