Timing belt tools in Denver?

Peter, I was able to change the timing belt and water pump on
my 4000 Quattro without any fancy tools. There is a round
hole on top of the bell housing that looks like it might have
been designed for some kind of sensor. If you rotate the engine
slowly by using a socket wrench on the front pulley, you will
see a hole in the edge of the flywheel where you can drop
a bolt in and lock the engine so that you can break the
bolt on the front pulley loose. You will need a cheater
bar to do this, it takes over 300 ft lb of torque. If your
car doesn't have this hole, there are a couple of other ones
that might work. Let me know how it goes. Needless to say,
don't forget to remove the bolt when you are done. I am in
SW Denver, by the way. Drop me a line if I can help.
