poor running 4kq

I went to the dealer to pick up an oil filter for my 4kq today, came outside 
ten minutes later to start the car...Started fine, proceed to get on highway, 
car hesitates, more and more as I go on.  There was about a 3-4 second delay 
between pedal action and actual throttle response.  Get to stoplight, car 
idles roughly at about 300 rpm.  Airbox and fuel distributor start making a 
popping sound that is very loud.  Car barely makes it home by flooring the 
gas to get any response.  The popping was coming from the boot from the fuel 
distributor to throttle body.  Does anyone know what is going on with my car? 
 this came with no warning what so ever. I need help ASAP.  Thanks for any 
replies.
