Still in the dark

Well, I ordered mine back when the group purchase was announced and
guess what, still no lights! The story goes like this: When the package
was finally sent,
UPS left a note on my door saying that I had to pay them ~$50 for the
package for
import duties. Once I left them a check I got my package, I opened up
the box
and found that the side marker bracket on the right light was broken all
the way
through. I talked to Kris and sent him some digital pictures that I
took of the
light that day he said he'd talk to UPS, they would come and look at it
and pick
it up and I'd get a new light regardless if UPS decided it was their
fault or
not. After at least 3 weeks of talking back and forth with Kris since
UPS never
contacted me to pick-up/inspect the lights, and I got the Visa bill.
Well, I
disputed the claim with Visa, and they agreed, and said that they would
debit
Autohaus' account next month. So my constant nagging stopped as it was
getting
nowhere and I figured I'd get some results when VM found out they
weren't getting
paid. After about a month, (about the time VM would have been debited)
I finally
was contacted by UPS and they came and picked up the lights. Then about
a week ago the payment house said that VM has disputed the withhold
payment, saying that they have never recieved the light, and I have 2
days to prove it. So a call to Ellie at UPS, who had contacted me
before yielded a tracking number for the light proving that they
recieved it. (UPS also denied VM's claim that it was damaged during
shipping, due to insufficient packaging.) I then emailed Kris if he
recieved the light, and he called me Friday of last week saying that he
got the
light and that the replacement was being sent out and I should have it
in 5-6
days. So, hopefully within the next two weeks I'll finally have my
lights that I
originally ordered ~3 months ago.
