Hello Peter,
For this to happen you would have to have a extremely serious vacuum
leak. Have you tried dumping the diagnostic codes from the engine. I
would also check all the hoses for cracks and also the intake air
temperature sensor for a intermittent connection.

there are no error codes from the diagnostic. and the vacuum search is
ongoing. are you referring to the multi temperature sensor on the
intercooler output? or is there another temp sensor?
