UK fuel crisis

Phill,
Can you tell me will lead replacement fuel work OK in a car with a cat? Or
will it damage the cat and lambda probe as 4 star did.
There is plenty of LRP locally but no unleaded or diesel. I filled up
earlier and other motorists looked at me in envy as their 'new' cars could
not use this.
I sure would like to see a drop in fuel prices but I dont think it will
happen, even the unions are against a reduction in tax. I'll have to fit a
TDI engine in my UR I'm sure that would be unique.
Had a test drive in a 91 S2 the other day. It was more refined than my UR
but although it had much less turbo lag it seemed less powerfull. There
was no comparison in the handleing department. The UR is much wider lower
and stiffer sprung so it will corner better I guess. The S2 had a 6 speed
box which surprised me. I thought they were fitted to post 93 cars.
After test driving this S2 and a Porsche 944s recently I still think I
have driven away in the best car.
Regards
