What is an Audi 100 E

As far as I know, the 'E' designation for the 100 series stood for 'economy'. It had the same CIS 100 motor, however the car was trimmed down a little, with manual windows, hand crank sunroof, and manual climate control, among other things. Actually, I'd much prefer having an 'E' to a CS because we all know that the power windows, sunroof and climate control in regular 5k/100's are troublesome. Anyway, we recently sold one at our dealership a few months back and it sold for roughly 20% of what a typical 100 of the same year and condition would go for.
