Well, it looks as though I've done it again!

Dan Simoes sent me a note letting me know that the "torsen" list on the
audifans server has been converted to mailman ... and I am the listmeister!
Some day I'll learn to stop volunteering for these things ... :-) I'll be
getting around to setting the list up as I have the urq list ... but things
are a bit busy now, so it may be a few days before I get to it. The list is
up and usable, and I'll pretty it up and tweak it when I have a chance.
Don't hesitate to sign up if you're interested though ... check out:

I was actually hoping that the name of the list would be something more like
audifans-tech ... but as I thought about it, perhaps it is good to retain
the moniker. The list is not intended solely for the discussion of torsen
differentials or their behavior, but for the more deeply technical ...
sometimes nerdy discussions that are not of general interest on the main
"quattro" list. The list is unmoderated, and as long as we stay away from
personal attacks pretty much anything goes! I'm thinking this list could be
useful for group projects ... designing new intercoolers, studying
suspension mods, QLCC-II, etc. ... where people can work together and
compare notes.

I expect that the bandwidth on the list will be extremely low, except
perhaps while a project is in progress. One of the other purposes of this
list is that it is a place where discussions that are not deemed to be
germane to the quattro list may be asked to continue. My plan is to make
the list archives available to all, and make the list of members unavailable
to non-members. Unless there is abuse (i.e. spam) I'm thinking that I'll
leave the list set so that anyone can post. Since it is always possible to
view the archives from the website I suppose this means that people really
don't need to subscribe to be able to participate ... but if you want to
receive posts or digests you will need to become a member of the list.

If you have any questions or comments about the list please feel free to
contact me via e-mail. From my point of view the list is there to be a
service to the audifans, and I am interested in knowing what the members
believe should (or should not) be done to make it most useful.
