Sounds like you need a second opinion Chris...Unless the car was run extremely
low/out of oil, you should not be having lower end problems.  I just sold an '89
200q avant with 350,000 miles.  The head was redone at 288k, but the lower end
was original, untouched and used no oil between changes.  Unless there is some
manufacturing/design flaw that is as yet undiscovered, can't see bottom end
failure at 65k without some extreme abuse.  Be interested in hearing what someone
