Looking at an A6Q Avant! Need comments!

Yup, looking at a 95 A6Q Avant, dark metallic green for want of the real
name, light tan interior, 80K miles, looks real nice. I know the guy
that owns the lot, can probably deal. Smogged, should be a CA car,
haven't had a chance to drive/lift up/inspect. Lyn likes it, I do too.
Any words of wisdom from out there? My kid'll take the CGT, we can off
the 16v GTi and the Mazda, payments manageable. Any things to look out
for besides the belt and the water pump? It's an automatic, good or bad
by 95? Appears to have had good care, tires show no signs of anything
bad. He's across the street, so I can get it over and check it out.
