I got one of these from the Audi-VW used parts place in New York State (see
vendor list) - it comes as a complete assembly, the sockets are not
available separately. The used one I got was already adjusted to the
correct length (225mm? 227mm? see Bentley), so I just lubed the sockets and
installed it. And it is MUCH, MUCH easier to install with the tranny out of
the car!!!

$25, plus $20 for overnight (too much), BUT - fits and works perfectly.
