Turbo coolant line rebuild

Listers,

While doing the timing belt & lifters I decided to pull the
turbo coolant return line which had been weeping every so
slightly. A quick visual reveals.... almost ready to fail.

Emerick & Hill in Denver once again came to the rescue.
E&H had the metric fitting for the turbo end of the hose
and were willing to tackle a custom job.

After a bit of debate the final solution was to swage
a length of Aeroquip onto the metric fitting, at the
other end was swaged a "custom" fitting made by
silver soldering a 1/2 inch barbed hose fitting onto a
standard Aeroquip fitting. A short length of 1/2 inch
high temp hose goes from the barbed fitting to the
block.

This has not been "stress" tested yet but I believe
for $35 I ended up with an arrangement which will
outlast my Audi.

For those of you who contemplate getting something
similar made I can email a digital picture.

Cheers
