Air Bag light won't go out on my 89 200tqa

    If you can, pull the codes.....My airbag light came on while driving my 
'91 200 a couple of weeks ago. Had the dealer scan for trouble codes and 588 
came up. Which is basically saying I need a new clock spring (driver air bag 
- resistance too high) - only $377.62 parts and labor :(   The dealer also 
confirmed that my airbag will not deploy while the dash light is on. For now, 
I'll leave the light on while I attend to the million other things that 
require money in my life...
