Audi vs. Subaru

Is Subaru closing on AUDI? No, I dont think so. Subaru is closing yes, they used to be like 8 years behind, now they are only a few but they are still a different class. Their interiors are MUCH better but still no Audi, same wiht the rest of the car. Closing on Volvo though maybe.
As for the AWD systems, I would agree on everything. But I want to mention one thing. I do believe that in the context you used the 55/45 split on new Outbacks would be interpreted as 55% front. I believe (through numerous magazine tests but they are wrong sometimes) that it is 55% rearward biased on the new cars. Again, I could be wrong.
Either way though, I agree, its a Very close second to the Audi system.

Actually the 2000 Outback automatic splits the torque 90-10 with the 90 to
the front. However you could also order rear limited slip as an option. The
2001 Outback VDC H6 is certainly the more sophisticated system with a 55-45
bias. Nonetheless I doubt that the average driver could tell the difference.
Like the Audi, the AWD sensation is seamless, however I still feel that
Audi's system is more sophisticated but that VDC system must come damned
close.
BTW is Subaru closing in on Audi territory?
