Sorry for the blue underline don't know how it happened.
Is the car vibration only when turning in both directions or just one?
Wheel Bearing?
Slow speed parking manuvers with the differentials locked or one locked
makes my 4000Q
"Crab walk" Assuming that one of the differentials is engauged.
Find a straight level area and work the vaccuum switch back and forth 2,1 to
the "off" position. Then in a straight line go forward, coast, push in
clutch and coast to stop (or use brakes after a good distance), Then repeat
in reverse, then coast then stop. Several times. This should free up
tension in the drivetrain and let the vaccuum disengauge the fork tines or
whatever engauges the differentials to lock down. Otherwise investigate air
leaks from the vaccumm switches to the differentials.
Any other vibration should show up in the braking (Rotors) or other
balancing issues like wheel not true etc.
I get a shimmy at certain wheel revolutions ~60MPH and none above or below
there. If I rebalance the tires shimmy could return at a speed I use more
often.
- Gas pedal pulsates - Engine mounts on the motor?
What is the mileage of the vehicle ~200,000?

Subject: vibrations while turning on 4kq
Date: Sun, 24 Sep 2000 14:53:18 GMT
The other day while driving my 87 4kq I noticed a vibration coming from the
front driver side wheel (the gas pedal pulsates). I took the car to have the
tires rebalanced thinking that was the obvious and it still does it when I
turn. Any suggestions?
TIA
