Matchbox TT

Maisto also now makes a couple of TT's.  There is a 1:18 scale
completely built up display model (surprisingly good quality for the
price) and the other one that I have seen is not one of the standard
scales.  It is much larger than a hotwheels or matchbox size but much
smaller than 1:24.  The body is faithfully reproduced and it has a pull
back motor in it which gives it play value for the kids (that is, if I
would ever let them touch it :))  I bought it for $3.99 at Canadian
Tire.  It just blows me away how these things can be built somewhere in
China, shipped across the ocean and make it's way up to our local
Canadian Tire store and retail for $3.99  I know, I know - the sweat
shops, and low wages in China, but still it boggles the mind.
Both models are metal body with opening doors and I think the larger one
also has opening hood and detailed engine (I haven't bought the large
one yet)
