Hi Maurice,

I had a very similar situation on my 91 200q with the passenger window
being reluctant to go up. It could normally be persuaded with the switch
bumping as you describe, but finally one day would just not go up. I had
replaced the driver's hinge-area door wiring last year, so I went ahead and
soldered in new passenger side wiring even though upon inspection they
didn't look as bad as the driver's side ones. This seemed to fix it at
first, but the symptom returned after all the rest of the wires were done.
Directly jumping the regulator indicated that it would always move, so if
it wasn't the wiring it must be...the switches. They had seemed to beep out
ok, but since the current always has to return through the driver's side
switch I carefully pried it open, cut the plastic seal and sprayed in some
DeOxit contact enhancer. No reoccurrence of symptoms yet, 2 months later...
