A3/S3, US?

The A3 is actually the A4, but a hatch, basically the golf and Jetta. And
yes, I'd have to agree with you that Audi and VW both are striving to bring
their automotive lines much upscale. In fact, with the new A8 coming in 2002,
and the new VW D1, which is bigger then the A8, with a V12, they are both trying
to compete directly with Mercedes, and BMW. So I would have to agree, that we
probably won't ever see the A3, or the A2 for that matter, just as we will
probably never see the Polo or Lupo in the US.
