V8 Cat Problems

   I think my 02 sensor is shot, I checked the codes, and it shows up as
having the limit exceeded.  I ordered a new one, but my question is, the
cat light on the dash blinks non-stop.  Is this related to the )2
sensor, or is it something different.  I was also wondering what the
wires coming out of the passenger side cat are.  They are spliced, and
they appear to go up into the floor near the fuse box, on the passengers
side.  If anyone has any ideas about this.  Thanks.
