Wow, the same thing happened to me last week ('93 90CS). The smell is
really starting to get to me. I got the same diagnosis, though my
dealer tossed in the condenser as well for a grand total of $2500.
This weekend I'm going to try to have the system totally discharged,
then take a peek at the core and see what's going on.
