Head work for 4KQT (extended w/more Q's)

Some questions tumbling around in my head:
1. Are there any sodium filled valves bigger than 33mm (say35-36mm) that'll
fit the MC engine?
2. If yes, will these fit along side 40mm intake valves (have to ask).
I've heard that in turbo'd engines, it's a good idea to increase exhaust
valve size to increase exhaust efficiency (and I suppose turbo efficiency).
3. What engines were used in the non-US 200, and in what years? 1B? What
about before the 1B (KY?, KG?)?
4. Besides compression, does anyone know what changes Audi made to up HP
from the MC's 160, to 180-200? Camshaft maybe?
5. Am I right to assume that putting pistons in from a car with 8.4:1
compression (from what I'll call the MC-II - US 200) will affect the
combustion chamber acoustics, and therefore knock regulation?
6. Would putting the knock sensor from the same donor cure that little problem?
I have a spare 1987 MC engine that I was going to rework in preparation for
the day the clutch goes. I was thinking a little cylinder head work,
higher compression (via new pistons rather than head skimming), and perhaps
a cam. I guess I'm after a good honest 250hp, so 275 might be a good
goal. Problem is, I don't want to increase turbolag any further.
Comments welcome.
Thanks,
Arryn
