Ok, gents (and you too Jenny!):

Using the document at www.12v.org, I come up with a
"2331", which points strongly to the idea that a oxy
sensor failed.   Now the harder parts:

1)  Is this held in memory after the car is shut down?


2)  If so, how do you reset the fault memory back to
normal (to see if the problem returns, or is merely an
o-t-o situation.

3)  Which side of the engine (pass or driver-us pls)
does this indicate?

4)  anybody here in Atlanta can loan me the Bentley
set (until I get them)?  Will buy you lunch at the
nearest participating Waffle House for your trouble.
