VW golf 4motion? vs WRX?

Not to the US.

The Golf 4Motion is nowhere near a WRX competitor. It is more of a BMW
competitor in Europe. It's a luxo car, definitely, with all the trimmings-
leather, navigation, wood trim, etc.

It is currently available, with the 204hp 24v VR-6 (now they're just calling
it a V6), 6-spd. and the Haldex AWD system like the TTq. If you saw the
review on Motorvision, they mentioned a 3.2L VR-6 in the future.

Hi all, I just saw a review of the new VW Golf 4motion?  Could this be the
WRX competitor? Comes with AWD, 6spd tranny, 2.8 V6 putting out 207hp, or a
'new' 3.3L V6(hp?, I don't know if that's US or Euro specs).  The testers
were amazingly impressed to say the least.  Saying the car was so gentle to
drive, even at limits above those of most sports cars!  I may have to wait
and see this one before buying an A4??
