auto tranny

  Hello list,

  How easy or difficult is it to replace an auto
tranny in an 87 5kcst(non-quat),
 are there any things to be carefull of, I have the
Bentlys and it covers tranny removal looks prity
straight forward, or is it?
 I have plenty of tools a garage to work in and a
friend to help, 
 I'm going to use truck jack stands (very big and
solid) to get the car high enough off the ground to
pull tranny out.
 
 Alittle while ago I replaced the clutch on my
girlfriends Saab and it was real easy side mount
engin/tranny
  swung the driver side subframe down splits in half
from the pass side  and tranny came rite out wheel
