dash speaker access

mark - ive replaced the dash speakers -

a - i dont remember any tricks or secrets. one thing was that the grill has 
2 little tabs (on the a pillar side) that must be bent out from 2 little 
slots in/under the frame of ther speaker to get the grill out.

if you bend them out, the grill should hinge out (at the inside).  if not, i 
can go take mine apart for a better description. but i dont remember it 
being too tricky.

b - yeah, not the right way to get in there....

Plan A: Left dash speaker grill is detached along right edge, but feeling
like
its ready to break before coming loose at the left edge...  what's the
secret?

Plan B: With the lower dash panel already removed, I can see the
connections through the left end of the dash, with the door open.
I just can't reach them, unless I pop out the left front dash vent. I've
pulled,
wiggled, pried, etc, and feel that its (also) ready to break...any ideas?
