Tire recommendations for A6AQ

You don't say whether you have 15" or 16" wheels...on my wife's '96 A6, I
put Dunlop SP 5000s. They're a very good all season tire, handle well, long
wear rating, etc. I believe that the 15" size will be a slightly different
tread design than the lower profile on my 16" wheels, but the
characteristics *should* be similar.

Tire Rack has them for under $100 per.

I drove them once in the snow, and they seemed to have grip in the same
neighborhood as my Nokia NRWs (which are fabulous). They handle very well,
far better than the Pirellis that came with the car.
