... even though there is a fairly high population of urquattros here in the
SF Bay Area ... perhaps even more than up in the PNW ... I almost never see
ury's on the road. I remember spotting one in an adjacent parking lot YEARS
ago when our offices were in Santa Clara ... I left a business card on it
and the owner and I hooked up once. There was another guy who owned a red
one like mine that I would pass randomly ... one time we both stopped and
chatted. Every so often I used to see them on the road ... but still the
number of events can probably be counted on two hands. Of course I've seen
them a lot more than that when involved with Audi events, but in chance
circumstances they are rare beasts. Given the number that were imported to
the US, and the fact that they are approaching 20 years old ... even though
I know there are a few owners like me who would use their cars as daily
drivers there just aren't that many to be seen.
So, I guess the answer to your question is ... yes, they are that rare ...

I would just like to report that in the last year of keeping my eye out, I
have not seen a single urq, in fact, I have never seen one (except in photos
of course)
Is it just me? Do you guys see em alot? (not counting those of you who are
driving them of course)
I live in the portland area and am always looking at the cars around me...
See the occasional CGT's... but thats about it. Whats the deal!? Are they
just really rare or what?
