99 A4 Fuel Gage and Window Seal

My friend has a 99 A4, she says that fuel gage keeps bouncing from what it
should be indicating down to empty and back, the low fuel alarm goes off and
it bugs her. Is this a common problem? It seems that it might just be an
intermittent connection problem.

Secondly, the door seal on the driver's door leaks and at highway speed it
makes a large whistling sound. The dealer has not fixed it yet. Any thoughts
on what it might be? Is this a common problem?
