You said you didn't switch harnesses or ECUs.  This means you're now
running the high compression motor without the factory knock sensing
system...  Perhaps in cool climates that's fine, but detonation is
likely in hot conditions!  Premium fuel and perhaps some octane booster
are a must now to get a better margin of safety.
