Any NG/NF will work. If you have a vacuum pump there is no provision for it, but
with the higher compression engine you don't need it anyway. The fuel injector
sleeves have to be compatible with the injection you're running, but they are
simply threaded in and replaceable.
I can't imagine a used engine would cost more than $500-600 with around 100k
miles. There isn't demand for them as they never go bad! Rebuilding is really
cost prohibitive, a basic rebuild will run $2000 (yes really) depending on what
you have done. Add fancy machining and some custom parts and it rises to $3000
in a hurry. Parts for these engines are not cheap (rings, bearings, lifters) no
matter where you shop.
