overboost

   Hello list,

  Just last week I was inquring about an auto tranny
that was toast in an 87 5kcst(non-quat) and that I was
going to replace well I replaced the tranny and it
went great there were alott of tight places that a
flexy ratchet took care of like the front pipe and the
tranny supports to engine,
 it took a little figitin to get the tranny to line up
but once the 3 lower bolts went into the tranny/engine
it all fell into place, me and my friend did it over
the weekend prity straight forward job thanks to all
who responded and gave words of encouragment.

  So I have a follow up question I havent looked at
Scott M's web page yet but I am wondering one thing
after the tranny was complete I went for a ride and
the car shifted into the gears nice didn't go fast
just let the tranny hit the gears like it should but
after lettin it worm up I decided to floor it and it
shot off the line I looked down at the boost
gauge(Bar) and it reached 1.7 and cut out felt like
the car was coastin then it would kick in and at that
point I could feel the car get power to the tires
again,

 this is an overboost issue? whats the max boost for
this car 87 5kcsT(non-quat) with auto tranny?

 what should I check, we moved a lot of stuff around
but am sure that everything went back to were it was
originally.
