I used to have the Recaros from a GLi in my GT.  They aren't a direct
fit because the VW seats use a slightly (1/2 - 1") wider seat track.

A little persuasion with a bigger hammer and I was able to slide the
Recaros into the GT.

The biggest issue to be warned about is that they sit higher than the
stock seats (even with the seat bottom lowered as far as it will go)
which caused some headroom issues for me.

The other concern is that when these seats are installed in a 4kq, the
seat back adjuster knobs are quite difficult to reach/operate because of
the added height of the center driveshaft tunnel on the quattro.
