YES! I've been waiting SO long for that feature, I'm glad they added
it! <sarcasm off> :-)
Probably the most interesting thing there is that the turbo engine is now
ULEV certified. Poor honda, their marketing dept can't say they're the
only ones anymore. They'll have to spend a few minutes thinking up what
qualifier they can tack in that has a positive spin on it. "Only
mid-priced...?" Hmm :-)
Of course, how many A4's will STAY ulev certified after their owners get
their hands on it is another matter entirely ;-)
Actually...there's also something in there about a standard 6-speed for
the V6. Very interestink! My prediction? Slap on a PES unit when they
update it for the 2002 MY, and watch out, folks...
Wouldn't it be lovely if that tranny just happens to bolt up to an I5
and 016-style underpinnings? We can all wish!
Other transmission news, looks like multitronic will get here, FWD cars
only? Oh well. Looked cool, maybe they're doing it FWD-only to see what
american drivers do to it in a sort of trial-run.
