I'm not sure of the stock size used on Andrew's A6.  My '91 200q20v came with 
215/60r15 tires. Comparing those to the allroad at 225/55r17, the allroad 
tires would be about 6% bigger than my stock size, which might not fit, and 
would cause a significant speedometer error (they're about 2 inches greater 
in diameter).  Usually you try for within about 2% of stock size.  I believe 
the A8 also uses a larger overall tire diameter than many other Audis.
