Interference question answer

Hi all

Question was:

What happened to this Citroen:

Alt belt flew and took hydraulic pump belt off
and ( this is the clue ) it broke a _plastic_ timing 
belt cover, then it passed between timing belt 
and pulley, which caused crash. Today a friend from 
another ( local ) Audi list told he just repaired a
Renault ( equal engines ), because of same thing...

Long live to Audis´ metallic timing belt cover.
We all have it, don´t we?
