1.8T Diverter Valve

Hello,
I have a '99 Passat 1.8T with the Greedspeed VBL (1 bar) chip. I was
getting some funky surging that was detectable with the boost gauge. I
researched pretty thoroughly all the "fixes" that people were doing.
Basically there are three options
1) keep replacing the suspect "bad" DV with OEM ($?-probably about the
same as the Porsche one)
2) get the Bosch DV for the Porsche 944 Turbo #993.110.337.50 ($25)
3) get an EXPENSIVE billet DV such as Forge or Bailey (~$150-$160)
I opted for the Porsche one due to the price. To be honest I have not
noticed much of a difference and I still get ~15PSI at full boost which
leads me to believe that the OEM one was still OK. The boost does seem
to stay on longer than before and come on a little quicker though.
Without any empirical data I am only guessing.
