Could you please clarify what S2 you mean? There was no Sport quattro S2,
AFAIK.
Do you mean the Type89 Coupe? If so, what did this car win besides some nice
but unimportant national races here and there?
And furthermore, I would not describe the Sport quattro as successful.
It is/was a great car, but besides in Pikes Peak (not the same S1 as in
Rallye races, I know), it had no real chance against those French and Italian
mid-engine monsters, had it?
Oh, btw, the guy's name is Beckenbauer, Franz Beckenbauer, der Kaiser. ;)
