US Gasoline Prices

The logic here is completely flawed.. If people stop buying from mobil and
exxon stations then mobil+exxon willhave to increase their prices to help
offset their losses.  As well, if their sales-quantity decreases they will
have to pay more for the gas (remember, quantitiy discounts) which will
just pass on to the consumer.  Oh, and i won;t even mention what this will
do to the people who actually own these franchised stations.

Alternatively -- I think a national carpool day would be good.  We could
all carpool to work etc and reduce the amount of gas we would need to
buy/use.  In addition to savings us money (remmeber, 2 people in a car =
50% gas savings!) we would be saving the planet.
