Jens, do you have issue 24/2000 (15. November) of Auto Motor und Sport? If not,
you should try to find it. There is a great 6-page article with Michèle Mouton
and her old S1 there, with lots of great pictures in the Monte Carlo area. The
article mention that Audi made 103 quattros, 22 sports and 20 S1s for racing.
Michèle's SO, Frederic, owns one of the latter. I can try to scan these pages
if there's any interest.

You are correct, and Rune, the owner, is now trying to locate the correct
grille for his car. He is also trying to find someone that can reproduce a
replica, since Audi no longer has anyone to offer. But the car has been doing
quite some years of rallyeing since it was built and damaged parts need
replacement right? And it can have modifications too, right? This car isn't a
showstopper.

Unfortenately, no. If I had time, I would see this car in person next weekend
when the club is gathering for a private track event. It'll have to wait until
August.

Yes, the car is a genuine Racing quattro.

I agree, i was confused with the A2 and S2. And I still need to learn more
about the rallye cars. There are obviously many special models here.
