Quattro steering gear

Could someone briefly enlighten me as to the general
layout of a quattro's steering gear?  The only Audi I've
been able to lay eyes on seemed to have long tie rods
connecting at a common point to the end of the steering
rack in the center of the car.  If this is how they do it,
how does that affect bump steer?   Pardon my Audi
ignorance.  Don't get to see many.  Thanks for any info.
