NAC: ethanol blend

No, not the kind you drink. I'm talking about the one goes into the
gasoline...

With gasoline price going up, I found that heavily-subsidized ethanol is
getting more and more enticing. I know methanol blend is bad for the
engine, but how about ethanol? Quick search through the net gave little
info... It's either pro-ethanol put out by those who produce ethanol, or
some esoteric, perplexing government papers about reformulated gas and
additives.

Anyway, I've collected that ethanol will give worse NOx emissions and it
may give worse MPG. Anything else about ethanol blend?
