I never used to be a fan of Blaupunkt either- their 80s units weren't 
reliable and didn't sound good. However, I've since bought a cheap BP 
in-dash CD and it's great. Excellent sound quality, fine interface, superb 
VFM, lots of great features (like a pre-set volume for when you switch it 
on, I absolutely love that feature) and it doesn't conform to today's 'Las 
Vegas interface' craze.

Sorry to hear about Mike's experience with BP. I think however that this is 
mostly a case of bad customer relations and indifferent importers than 
really bad products. I've heard no bad things about BP recently, which is 
why I bought my unit.
