All this talk of amps and speakers has got me thinking...time to hook up mine!
Here's what I've got:
Kenwood Deck, single Amp preout...deck rated to 40W.
Kenwood 3.5" fronts, in the dash.
Kenwood 5.25" rears, rated at 90W.
Sony XM-450 Amp - 4/3/2 channel
2 10" Pioneer subwoofers, in sealed box.
I have RCA cables, and power running to the rear of the car, where the amp
is...currently the amp only controls the subwoofers.
I'm happy with the front speakers, they seem to be able to handle a lot of
power...no distortion in them, well...untill the volume becomes ridiculously
loud (which it rarely does). I'm happy with teh subs, they're fantastic...but
I can't stand the rear speakers. They distort just a might bit too early for my
taste...and I'm wondering if I power them through the amp if I'll get better
results?
Opinions? I can't afford new rear speakers at this point, so that's not an
option...
Would running my rear speakers through the amp be a good option??
