_Absolutely_ no reason to apologize, especially not that much!
You did not insult, hurt or otherwise threatened someone.
If we would not make mistakes who would need the qlist, who would need
to learn?
If something is not clear, one should always try to ask and find out.
That's what you did. 
And I did learn very much from that discussion, too. 
And that learning might well have been less significant if you did not
participate.
