door wires fix ?

I have done the same, even worse actually, since I stretched the wires a
bit and soldered.  The first one I did was over 7 years ago on the 5KS,
no problems since.  I think it's a matter of the pratical over the
"academically correct and scientifically proven best", especially when
people with very specialized knowledge from other fields carry it over to
their cars.  Nothing wrong with that, as a matter of fact it's what makes
this list one of the best out there in the ether, but like they say,
there's more than one way to skin (or gut) a cat.
