I tried it in Dyno2000 a minute ago, I only had a JY (182hp, turbo) cam to
compare it with but it seem to work fine.
Don't take the figures that dyno2000 reports to seriously, but I know that
dyno2k and the real world agree that a 295º cam with 10.2mm lift does not
work together with a stock head ;)
I will try the 295º cam in next years turbo engine, I hope that it will save
the transmission from some of the tourque between 3000 and 4000rpm.
RPM 2 2.5 3 3.5 4 4.5 5 5.5 6 6.5 7
JY 43 57 76 93 107 120 129 132 130 121 107
295º 22 33 48 62 78 94 108 120 125 126 117
272º 37 50 66 83 100 115 128 138 140 137 126
The JY and the 295ºcam is solid lifter and so is the 272ºcam I tested here.
I think that this is best for the comparison. I used 10.2mm lift for the
performance cams, more lift shouldn't add much power.
